As of 22 September 2009, an updated form will be used for all RMAs to ACRA CONTROL. Key points on the updated form are as follows:

1. Due to customer feedback there is now a section for notes.

2. There is now a section for customers to request partial shipments. Our standard practice is to make partial shipments when deemed appropriate.

3. The form limits the number of line items in any given RMA to 10 items.

An RMA is the official authorization from ACRA CONTROL that it will accept product to be returned from a customer site. An RMA is typically granted by ACRA CONTROL when there is a problem with a product which necessitates its return to ACRA CONTROL for repair, rework, or replacement. RMAs are granted by the Applications Department at ACRA CONTROL

When to look for an RMA?

There are several situations which require and RMA. They are as follows:

- When it has not been possible to resolve a problem with hardware through help from an ACRA CONTROL Applications Engineer.
- If your product needs to be returned for an upgrade, as agreed with ACRA CONTROL.
- If your product needs to be returned to ACRA CONTROL for recalibration.
- In cases where ACRA CONTROL must recall products, RMAs will be allocated by ACRA CONTROL for the respective items.

How The RMA Process Works
Step 1: Confirmation that there is a problem with product

Step 3: Authorizing the RMA request & shipping the goods to ACRA CONTROL

Note:
The RMA Request Form is the official record of the problem with the hardware. It is used by the technicians at ACRA CONTROL as the starting point of the repair process. Therefore, it is critical that the RMA Request Form is fully completed.
