ACRA CONTROL manufactures compact, rugged recorders with removable commercial off-the-shelf solid state media. There are products available for plugging directly into a KAM-500 to provide storage without the need for a separate recorder, stand alone IP recorders and multi-role recorders. Designed for reliability, the recorder products are live on power-up and ensure minimal data loss during power outages. A PC identifies the media as a FAT32 drive so that the data is instantly accessible with no need for proprietary hardware or software. Data files are recorded in the popular open PCAP (packet capture) format. These files are readable by GS Works 7 display and analysis package, as well as many other third party software products. This open systems approach, coupled with standard network technologies, ensures a future proof design with a lower cost of ownership. Recorders are ready to use out of the box, while configuration changes can be made easily using the intuitive setup software and saved in an open XML format. All recorders can be time synchronized to a range of sources including the IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP).
