1b. gSetup
gSetup is a GSX-500 software tool used to fully configure any of the GTS-500 ground station hardware and/or software modules. gSetup is also used to configure the following software tasks.
- Visualization Displays
- Alarm Definitions
- Decommutation
- EU Conversion
- Computed Parameters
- Generated Parameters
- Networked PC Architecture
The Real Time Display setup allows the user to use standard or custom graphic displays (generated with gDisplay) and configure each of them with the appropriate parameters. When used with gNetwork, gSetup can be used to configure a fully networked system.

1c. gQuicklook
gQuicklook is a GSX-500 software tool principally used for viewing and processing data, either in real-time or in replay mode. gQuicklook supports data acquisition from multiple sources and synchronizes them in real time.
In Storage mode the storing of raw acquisition data to the hard drive becomes the priority task for gQuicklook to ensure that all data is recorded.
gQuicklook supports up to 24 Real-time displays, however by using a networked system (refer to gNetwork for more information) this can be increased to 24 displays per networked system.

1d. gAnalyze
gAnalyze is a GSX-500 software tool principally used for viewing and processing data in post processing mode. gAnalyze supports post processing of data from gQuicklook Real-time data acquisition (including multiple sources), replayed data acquisition (MEM, Datarec) and various forms of imported data (ASCII, Binary).
The post processing software includes extensive Import/Export, Data Manipulation and Data Analysis options. Visualization software allows for data to be displayed on standard or custom graphical displays. Custom graphic displays are created with the gDisplay tool. The Visualization Software also includes a report generation tool that allows text and points to be highlighted. With an export to bitmap function the displays can be easily exported to other software packages.
In addition to the standard post processing functions a tools menu allows for common tasks to be simplified and automated. Macro-commands are designed to automate a processing sequence.
gAnalyze also allows Application Privileges to be set up to allow specified groups access to certain parts of the software – for example, pre-defined Macro-commands.

2. GSX/AUD/001
CVSD AUDIO DECOMPRESSION - GSX/AUD/001
GSX/AUD/001 is a GSX-500 audio driver used to decompress an embedded audio stream with CVSD audio (IRIG-106 Chapter 5) data. It runs on all of our PC platforms outputting the audio signals to the appropriate sound card. The GTS/IPC/001 includes a ICH4 integrated AC97 digital audio controller which is compatible with the audio driver. Alternative sound cards may also be used.
The audio driver seamlessly integrates with the standard GSX-500 configuration software (gSetup) running on an industrial PC. gSetup is used to fully configure the hardware prior to Real-time acquisition. A XidML file can be imported to automatically define the locations of the CVSD data in the PCM frame (or Ethernet frame). During Real-time acquisition the GSX-500 real time software (gQuicklook) reads the data directly from the appropriate acquisition modules and passes this data to the audio driver which performs software CVSD decompression and outputs this directly to the PC sound card.

7. GSX/NET/001
NETWORK DISTRIBUTED GSX-500 (GSX/NET/001)
GSX/NET/001 is a GSX-500 software add-on to gQuicklook which is used to configure a fully networked server/client system. Usually the Server PC will include the acquisition system however it is possible to have multiple networked acquisition systems. The data gathered by the Server can be distributed to each of the Clients PCs in real time via a networked UDP protocol.
The Network add-on allows up to 16 Client PCs to be networked together. Each of the Client PCs is fully configurable from the Server PC using gSetup. Configuration of Client PC is straightforward: The process is just an extension of the single PC system with an additional node added for each Client PC. The Client PCs have their own nodes for Computed Channels, Generated Channels, Alarm Definition, Action on Alarms and Real-Time Display as they would in a standard single PC configuration.
Each Client PC can have up to 24 graphical displays so the network driver significantly increases the number of users available to observe a test and therefore increases the number of parameters that can be visualized in real time.
The network driver can be also be used in Post Processing mode to allow multiple users to simultaneously view and analyze acquired data in post processing mode.

GlyphWorks Post Processing and Analysis tool (including Glyphworks Standard, Anomaly Detection, Fatigue, Fatigue Editing, Open Glyph, Rainflow, and ASCII Translate)
GlyphWorks is a powerful software system for interactively building and running analytical processes. It uses a method of graphical assembly for analysis processes as part of the data processing. It is intrinsically multi-file, multi-channel and multi-format.
The key benefits of gGlyphWorks include:
- Graphical interface simplifying the analysis task.
- Power to analyze large amounts of data.
- Create processes without programming.
- Standardized processes improves quality of analysis.
- Multi-format capability saves time.
The GlyphWorks studio tool is a graphical display and reporting tool for engineering data. Again it is intrinsically multi-file, multi-channel and multi-format environment with its data shared with GlyphWorks for rapid reporting of analysis results. Layouts can be saved as report templates and re-used. gGlyphWorks studio allows for a rapid review and comparison of data
Several add-ons are available with gGlyphWorks. These include

GREVEAL SOFTWARE - GROUND SUPPORT TOOL FOR DRE/ADR/003/B/SF1 Reveal
Reveal is a partner product to the DRE/ADR/003 family of data recorders. It can be used to extract and manipulate data from a removable memory cartridge and prepare the cartridge for reuse by the solid-state recorder. Reveal is a Microsoft Windows application that provides features for extracting, interpreting, visualizing and analyzing data captured using the data recorder.
Reveal includes the ability to archive recorded data to the local hard disk or network location. This allows the storage device to be immediately reused in the recorder, while analysis can occur at a later time. Data can also be archived to CD or DVD to support long term data storage or analysis of the data at a remote facility.
As part of its analysis features, gReveal allows the user to display the recorded data on screen if a suitable definition is supplied. Data streams can be visualized as recorded or in engineering units.
The application allows a number of visualizations to be displayed at one time. Where multiple data streams have been recorded simultaneously, REVEAL can synchronize the playback of data across the visualizations.
