Aircraft Data Recording
ACRA CONTROL manufactures rugged, compact recorders for airborne data recording applications. The chassis can be hard-mounted in any orientation on an airframe. They have been designed to operate in harsh environments outside the pressurized compartment. Their modular construction has interface support for sensors, avionics busses, time and position, built-in test and solid-state recording. The highly configurable architecture is scalable from a single small chassis with a few strain gauge inputs to a large distributed system with multiple remote chassis catering for hundreds of inputs.
A wide range of interface support is available for analog and digital physical interfaces with on-going design providing a future upgrade path. Highly configured systems can be built and later modified using off the shelf modules removing the cost of bespoke designs, lowering the cost of ownership and minimizing inventory requirements.
A high degree of reliability and autonomy is achieved by using hardwired finite state machines, enabling live on power-up functionality and fast recovery from power outages, thus minimising ground crew intervention. Exporting data to MATLAB and other data analysis software is quick with no need for additional conversion software thanks to the use of open data formats.
